ABOUT Community Voices
Community Voices is a group of keen singers who get together usually twice a year to rehearse
several songs in order to take part in a charity concert. There are no auditions and rehearsals only
last for one hour. The song choices are usually light in nature and arranged for the voices that turn
up.
The choir is open for anyone to join, and is ideal for people of all ages, abilities and to those who may not sang in a group before due to its friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Lots of people of all ages like to sing but don’t wish to give a regular commitment to a singing group.
Community Voices allows you the freedom to commit for a short period of time with an enjoyable
end result.
Come along and try it. You never know – you might enjoy it!
Keep an eye on our events page on our website, and/or our Facebook page for dates for the next Community Voices
Examples of concerts
Our last concert was the Sherwood Rotary Proms Concert which took place on Saturday 17 November 2018 at the Dukeries Academy. The choir alongside the band raised money for local and rotary charities. The rehearsals for this concert also took place at the Academy.
